Base Oils

BASE OILS

Description

Hydrotreated paraffinic base oils with viscosities from 2 cSt to 12 cSt and hydroisomerized hydrogenated paraffinic hydrocarbon ranging in viscosity from 2 cSt to 8 cSt at 100 C.

Application Benefits

Group II Base Oils have lower sulfur and higher saturates compared to Group I Base Oils. This results in base stocks that are superior for blending stable high-performance finished lubricants. Group III Base Oils compared to Group I and Group II Base Oils have a higher viscosity index, lighter color, and better low-temperature properties. They are technically comparable to alternate synthetic base oils without the associated higher cost. Suitable for formulating premium engine oils, gear oil, hydraulic oils, and greases. Used in agriculture and as detergents/dispersants.
