Description
Soltex represents Ergon HyVolt transformer oils. Ergon’s HyVolt products are genuine naphthenic insulating oils meeting the requirements of both IEC 60296:2012 general specifications and special applications and ASTM D3487-2016. We will take a look at each of these Ergon transformer oils in detail below.
Advantages

Ergon HyVolt I – IEC 60296 Uninhibited
Applications
Power and distribution transformers, switchgears, and circuit breakers.
Description
Ergon’s HyVolt I transformer fluid is a severely hydrotreated naphthenic insulating oil. HyVolt I meets requirements of IEC 60296. HyVolt I transformer oil is uninhibited and is free of any antioxidant inhibitors. HyVolt products have very low pour points and excellent oxidation stability.
HyVolt I products contain no other additives, such as those listed below:
- PCB Free
Tested as per IEC 61619:1997 - DBDS Free
Detection method using GC-AED - Passivator Free
Tested as per IEC 60666:2010 - Metal Deactivator Free
Detection method using HPLC / GC-MS
Miscibility
Ergon’s line of HyVolt Transformer Oils are fully miscible with insulating oils meeting the requirements set by ASTM 3487, IEC 60296 and CSA C50.
Ergon HyVolt II – ASTM D 3487 Type II Inhibited

Ergon’s Hyvolt II Type II transformer fluid is a severely hydrotreated naphthenic insulating oil. Hyvolt II Type II meets requirements of ASTMD 3487. Hyvolt II Type II transformer fluid contains one antioxidant inhibitor, BHT, which is part of the approved list of inhibitors per ASTM D3487 detected per ASTM D2668. HyVolt products have very low pour points and excellent oxidation stability.

Ergon’s Hyvolt II Type II C50B transformer fluid is a severely hydrotreated naphthenic insulating oil designed to meet CSA C50B specification. Hyvolt II Type II C50B meets requirements of ASTMD 3487. Hyvolt II Type II transformer oil contains one antioxidant inhibitor, BHT, which is part of the approved list of inhibitors per ASTM D3487 detected per ASTM D2668. HyVolt products have very low pour points and excellent oxidation stability.

Ergon HyVolt C50A – Canada CSA C50A, Type II/IV
Applications
Power and distribution transformers, switchgears, and circuit breakers.
Description
Ergon’s HyVolt C50A transformer liquid is produced from a severly hydrotreated naphthenic oil to meet the specification requirements defined for Type IV, Class A Arctic Grade use. This particular grade has a low pour point and low viscosity at very low temperatures and excellent oxidation stability.

Hyvolt II Type II NG transformer oil contains one antioxidant inhibitor, BHT, which is part of the approved list of inhibitors per ASTM D3487 detected per ASTM D2668. HyVolt products have very low pour points and excellent oxidation stability.
