Tackifiers

TACKIFIERS

Description

Soltex tackifiers are a combination of high molecular weight polymers in selected mineral oils. They are available in seven grades, including general purpose, light colored, and food grade.

Soltex tackifiers increase the adhesive properties of lubricants and other products, preventing dripping and splashing during operation. This helps reduce operational costs and risks of environmental contamination.

Application Benefits

Lubricants. Tackifiers are used as an additive to impart improved adhesion in lubricant and grease applications. Soltex tackifiers are used in bar and chain lubricants, greases, way lubricants, and rust or corrosion inhibitor packages.

By contributing significantly to lubricant retention, Soltex tackifiers help ensure hydrodynamic lubrication over a wide range of conditions, while adding a degree of corrosion protection.
