Meet Our New Business Manager | Team Spotlight

Whitney Tristan joined Soltex as Business Manager in April 2026, bringing over 16 years of experience in the chemical industry and a background in operations, procurement, and sales. With a lifelong passion for learning, she earned her bachelor’s degree in Chemical Engineering, later obtained her PE license, and is currently pursuing her MBA. Whitney has built a career leveraging both technical expertise and strategic insight to deliver solutions that create lasting value for customers.
She was drawn to Soltex by the opportunity to make a broader impact and is energized by contributing to meaningful results across the organization. In her position, Whitney is focused on expanding growth opportunities across key business lines, including Performance Chemical Additives (PCA), Thermal Fluids, Tackifiers, and Polyalphaolefins (PAO), while ensuring alignment across teams and consistent value delivery to customers.
She is excited by the opportunity to grow the additives business in close partnership with Monica Traugott and to expand Soltex’s presence in the thermal fluids market in close partnership with David Collins. Together with the sales and supply chain teams, they are focused on strengthening external relationships and identifying new pathways for growth across these business lines. Known for her collaborative, team-first mindset, Whitney brings a balance of attention to detail and big-picture thinking, allowing her to prioritize opportunities while fostering open communication and teamwork.
She is passionate about building strong relationships, solving problems, and identifying new paths for growth. What has stood out most to Whitney since joining Soltex is the company’s forward-thinking mindset and willingness to take bold approaches to success. This culture of innovation and adaptability aligns closely with her own professional values and leadership style.
Outside of work, Whitney enjoys spending time with her family and staying active. She grew up as a competitive dancer and now enjoys bringing that energy into family dance parties at home. Much of her free time is spent playing and swimming with her kids, making family a central part of her life. She also has a passion for travel and discovering unique destinations, with one of her favorite experiences being a trip to Rarotonga in the Cook Islands.
Describing herself as “strategic, collaborative, and results-driven,” Whitney brings both professionalism and personality to the Soltex team. She is eager to continue building relationships, learning from her colleagues, and contributing to the company’s ongoing growth and success.
