Supporting AFSP Walk for 20+ Years

Soltex is honored to continue its support of the American Foundation for Suicide Prevention (AFSP) through sponsorship of the Out of the Darkness Community Walk. For more than 20 years, our organization has supported AFSP in its mission to save lives and bring hope to those affected by suicide.  

The upcoming Central Carolina Out of the Darkness Walk, taking place on September 26, 2026, at the North Main Athletic Complex in Holly Springs, North Carolina, represents another opportunity for the community to support mental health awareness and advocacy. In addition to the impact of community-driven initiatives like the Out of the Darkness Walk, national resources such as the 988 Suicide & Crisis Lifeline are demonstrating measurable progress in suicide prevention. Introduced in 2022 to provide immediate, accessible support, 988 has an estimated 11% reduction in youth suicide deaths. By supporting organizations like AFSP and promoting resources such as 988, companies and communities alike can play a role in helping drive further reductions in suicide rates.
