Open Letter to Our Valued Customers About COVID-19

Soltex is committed to the health and safety of our employees, our customers and the communities in which we operate. As we all adjust to a rapidly changing business environment due to the impact of the Coronavirus (COVID-19), we wanted to communicate with you on our current situation.

Soltex is open for business and ready to serve you. Our operating sites remain in close contact with local, state, and federal authorities to stay abreast of possible restrictions placed on our facilities. Soltex falls within multiple functional areas of the Chemical sector, as outlined by the Cybersecurity & Infrastructure Security Agency of the U.S. Department of Homeland Security in its guidance on the Essential Critical Infrastructure Workforce. Additionally, the province of Ontario, Canada, on March 25, 2020 issued a list of essential workplaces and our Belleville site falls under the Manufacturing and Production sector. Thus, Soltex is deemed an essential business at all our facilities and is allowed to continue operating and serving your ongoing product requirements.

Soltex has set up separate teams to address medical, logistics, and safety and security challenges. These teams meet regularly to assess changes in the unfolding COVID-19 pandemic. During this difficult time, we continue to operate while all employees who are able to work from home. Our robust technological infrastructure allows us to work seamlessly so that you see no effect on our service and efficiency. We have temporarily ceased all business travel and are encouraging our outwardly focused teams (Sales and Procurement) to visit with clients via email, phone or video call technology so that we can continue business discussions to better understand and meet your needs.

We are in constant contact with our suppliers and partners throughout our supply chain in order to minimize and mitigate any impacts on our operations. Past disaster events, such as hurricanes, have provided experience in putting in place skeleton teams that could keep operations going even if widespread illness cases were to significantly impact our workforce. Many of our processes and procedures are applicable to both natural disasters as well as this pandemic. Please know that we take very seriously our responsibility as a good employer, good corporate citizen and a strategic business partner with you. We are working hard on all three aspects and thank you for your continued trust and unending support. Together, we will make it through these difficult challenges. Please do not hesitate to call on any one of us here at Soltex, and as always, you may contact me personally if you wish.

Best Regards,

Glenn Bohny
